Use of Recycle Bin in Windows XP

The Recycle Bin which is nothing but a space on the hard disk which is been kept reserved for storing of information that is been deleted so that in the occasion of deleting a file or folder by incidentally it is likely to retrieve it back again. By default the Recycle Bin which restores the files or folders to the place from where they were been deleted. If, for example, a file is been deleted from E:\my documents, when the deleted file is been restored it will directly go to that folder only. The Recycle Bin will also look after the deleted documents until it is entirely emptied. For opening of the Recycle Bin place the cursor on Desktop and double-click on the Recycle Bin icon. The Recycle Bin window which is very much alike to the Windows Explorer window, and they are having the same options in common, such as modifying the window, the views, etc... In the Recycle Bin quality such as the original position of the file or folder before it was deleted will appear as well as the date and time when it was deleted.

Reinstating of files or folders in their original place
The restoring of files or folders to their respective position. For restoring all the elements from the Recycle Bin you just need to click on the left side where there is an option of restore all the items. If you only require to restore some of the essentials: 1) Select the important files for restoring it by clicking on them. If the files are not in succeeding order, then make use of the Ctrl key to select them or the Shift key if they are one under the other.
2) Once chosen, a dialog box will appear on the left indicating that Restore this item or Restore the selected items.
The selected files will go back to their location before they deleted.
If the right side of the Recycle Bin is not able to be seen you can also restore from the File menu by selecting the option restore. If you do not know where the files were before deletion, check before restoring on the route that is shown on the column original location because that is where it will save it.
Restoring of Files or folders which are located in different place then their original location.
1) Select the files to be restored.
2) Click at the files with the right mouse button and then the shortcut menu will be displayed; select the option Cut or (ctrl + X).
3) Place the folder where you desire the files to be restored; and then click at the Paste or (ctrl + V).

Deleting of Files or Folders from the Recycle Bin
Prior to deleting of any element from the Recycle Bin you will understand that once it is deleted it cannot be recovered or restored again.
If you desire to delete any file or folder from the Recycle Bin follow these steps:
1) Select the files which you want to be deleted.
2) Click on ; this will delete the selected files. You can also make use by just pressing the Delete button from the keyboard. The selected files will disappear and cannot be restored again
If a window emerges and demand you about are you sure to delete the selected file or folder click at Yes if you are sure which you want to delete it then press the Yes button.

Emptying of Recycle Bin
The files or folders which are been deleted generally remain in the recycle bin and in time when we require to empty for the free space or since we do not require to have the files any long. In order to do this, merely empty the Recycle Bin by clicking on the icon which is been placed on the left labeled Empty the Recycle Bin. A window will then display asking for the Confirm you want to delete these X elements? Where X is the number of elements which is presently in the Recycle Bin. Click Yes to empty it. You can also empty the Recycle Bin from the File menu and select the Empty the Recycle Bin. There is an even earlier way. Only right click on the Recycle Bin icon Name:  recycle bin3.gif

Size:  1.1 KB and a menu with the option Empty the Recycle Bin. If you do it this way, you have to be sure that you want to empty the Recycle Bin since you will not be able to see what you are deleting.
