Thread: Press F1 key to start the computer

when I start my computer, the screen says press F1 but the system seems to hang and F1 doesn’t work.

Whenever you are asked to press F1 key to continue the computer from starting when you installed some new hardware or reformatted your operating system and after pressing the F1 key the system hang out I would like to suggest that modify your BIOS to default and save the changes by pressing F10 key to save the changes or else change the CMOS battery and check whether all your devices are being connected properly and disable the Halt on error from your BIOS setting and save this will surely work out. You can even disable the function of pressing F1 key to start the system.
