Your System Has No Paging File or the Paging File is Too Small

During startup your computer may hang up and it displays an error message whenever you log on to the Windows. Following is the example of error

"Limited Virtual Memory Your system has no paging file, or the paging file is too small. To fix this problem, go to System in Control Panel, click the advanced tab, and under Performance, click Settings. On the Advanced tab, click Change. Click 'Custom size and then type an initial or maximum paging file size”.

And whenever this message is being displayed it start creating paging file on the NTFS drive and the administrator as well as the System accounts does not have the proper NTFS permission of the drive.

How to resolve this problem
To resolve this issue you should first give the administrators as well as the system accounts the full control of the NTFS drive which already contains the paging file. And if you are working on Windows XP home edition or XP professional but you are not able to log-in to your domain you try to shutdown your computer by holding the power button for almost 3 to 4 second and try to start your computer in the Safe mode by pressing the F8 key during startup.

And right click on the My computer or open the windows explorer and right click on the drive which contain the paging file and click on the properties and after that click on the security tab to view the drives permission option.

And after that click on the Add and type the computer name computer name\system and add your computer name and click on OK. And again click on the Add option key and type the computer name\Administrators where computer name is your computer name and confirm that you are the administrator and click on the OK and click once more on the Ok and now you can also click on the Advanced and then click again on the Find Now which will help to display a list of different users on your computer an you have to select any one of them.

And again click on the system user and then click on the Full control check box and it will automatically select the other check boxes available and repeat the same in the administrators’ user and click on the OK button and Restart your PC.
