1. You have to just click on the Start button, and select the Run command and type as %SystemRoot%\System32\Restore\Rstrui.exe, and after that click on OK.

2. On the Welcome to System Restore page, click on to Restore my computer to a previous date (if it is not already selected), and then click on the Next.

3. On the Select a Restore Point page, click on any of the system checkpoint. In the on this list choose the restore point area, click an entry that is named "Guided Help (Registry Backup)," and then finally click on the Next. If a System Restore message emerge that lists configuration changes that System Restore will make, and click on OK.

4. On the validate Restore Point choice page, click Next. System Restore restores the previous to Windows XP configuration and then start again the PC.

5. Log on to the computer. When the System Restore confirmation page appears, and clicks on OK.
