Problems with sound and audio or no sound on your computer

This article describes four methods to help you solve the problem of voice. Methods try to make the order. If you do not work, try the next. In each method you are trying to determine whether the voice can be heard. To achieve this, play audio files through the use of a program, such as Windows Media Player.

Note: Please ensure that the output device (speakers or headphones) and open the insert. In addition, make sure that you did not mute the output device and the volume output volume control equipment and procedures set high enough so you can hear the sound.

Method 1: Try another sound device:

If possible, insert different output devices to your computer. For example, if you have been using loudspeakers to try different pairs of speakers or headphones to ensure that the problem does not lie in the equipment itself.

Determine whether you can hear the voices. If you can hear the sound, there are problems with the output of the original equipment and to solve the problem. If you can not hear the voice of the original plug-in output device to the computer.

Out-of-date sound card drivers might root a sound trouble. Ensure for updates to offer sound card driver. You can make use of Microsoft Update, to help you verify your existing sound driver, if an update is obtainable. And then with the sound driver or with the PC hardware producer, to modernize the sound driver.

If the sound driver is out of date, follow these steps to find the name and provider of your sound driver:

1. Click Start, and then click Run.

2. In the Open box, type dxdiag, and then click OK.

3. Click the sound tab.

4. In the equipment, find the name, and in accordance with the drive to find suppliers.

5. Click Exit.
