How to troubleshoot playback of network or Internet media

• Streaming media on the Internet is subject to all standard network connectivity troubleshooting. Server-side problems of the most common experiences.
• To ensure that the Internet Connection Wizard guides or network has been running the system. If not, run the wizard:
1. You have to click on the Start button which is on the left pane of the taskbar, and select the All programs from the Start menu and click on it, point to Accessories, and after that click on the Communications.
2. And you have to click again on the New Connection Wizard.
3. And follow the directions and complete the wizard.
• Try connecting to the stream with Mplayer2:
1. You have to click on the Start button and select the Run command from the Start menu and type in the Run command address bar as mplayer2.
2. And click on the OK.
3. In the File menu, you click on the Open, and then type the URL for the media.
• Confirm that your machine is not following a firewall or proxy and also confirm the Windows Media Player exact network settings:
1. Open the Windows Media Player, and after that click on the Tools menu, and click on the Options button tab.
2. And on the Network tab, confirm that all the protocol boxes are chosen, and then confirm that the proxy settings are exact.
• Try to stop the Internet Connection Sharing or some firewall software if it is allowed.
