Default How to Format a Dynamic Volume in Windows XP

To format a dynamic volume, follow these steps:

    1. In Disk Management, you have to only right-click on the dynamic volume which you want to specifically want to format it (or reformat), and afterwards click on the Format.

    2. In the Format dialog box, do the subsequent steps:

o Sort a name for the volume in the Volume label box.

o And also click on the file system which you to use in the File system box.

If you would like, to also change the disk allocation unit volume, only state whether you want to execute a quick format, or allow the file and folder compression on NTFS volumes. And Click on the OK.

    3. And click on the OK when you are motivated to configure the volume. The format process launches now.
