To convert a basic disk to a dynamic disk:

1. First Log in as Administrator or else a member of the Administrators group.

2. And click on the Start button, which is located on the left side of the taskbar and search for the Control Panel and click on it.

3. And search for the Performance and Maintenance in the control panel and click on it, and subsequently click on the Administrative Tools, and after that click twice on the Computer Management.

4. And in the left corner, just click on the Disk Management.

5. And on the bottom right side just right click on the basic disk to convert, and followed by click Convert to Dynamic Disk.

Kindly NOTE:

You have to right-click the gray part that includes the disk heading on the left side of the detail pane. For instance, just right-click on the Disk 0.

6. And choose the check box that is after that to the disk which you want to exchange (if it is not already selected), and click on OK.

7. And you have to click on the Details if you would like to outlook the list of volumes in the disk.

8. And click on the Convert.

9. And Click on the Yes if you are provoked to exchange, and finally click on the OK.
