SYMPTOMS:

If you use the / 3GB in the Boot.ini file on a Windows XP Professional workstation, the workstation is configured with certain graphics adapters, Windows may exhaust the memory available for kernel services. CAUSE:

The problem can occur if the graphics card on your Windows XP Professional workstation consumes many system page table entries (PTE), and enough memory addresses are not available for the Windows kernel.

RESOLUTION:

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Windows XP.
