Windows XP Professional gives capability to organize accessibility choices through Accessibility Options icon in Control Panel.

Keyboard Options

To organize keyboard options go to Control Panel, Accessibility Options. The keyboard tab of Accessibility Options dialog permits you to organize keyboard options like StickyKeys, FilterKeys, and ToggleKeys.

StickyKeys

StickyKeys permits you to press a many key combination, like CTRL+ALT+DELETE using one key at a time. This is helpful for people who have trouble pushing more than one key at a time. Two Notification settings can be organized for StickyKeys: Make Sounds When Modifier Key Is Pressed and Show StickyKeys Status on Screen. The first setting causes a sound to be created when any of modifier keys, CTRL, ALT, SHIFT, or the Windows key is pressed. The second notification setting causes a Sticky Keys icon to be shown in taskbar when StickyKeys is on.

FilterKeys

It causes keyboard to overlook short or frequent keystrokes. This choice also permits you to organize keyboard repeat rate, which is rate at which a key constantly held down repeats keystroke. You can press right SHIFT key for eight seconds to turn on FilterKeys. Two Notification settings can be organized for FilterKeys: Beep When Keys Pressed or Accepted and Show FilterKey Status On Screen.

ToggleKeys

Turning on ToggleKeys causes PC to make a high pitched sound every time CAPS LOCK, NUM LOCK, or SCROLL LOCK key is turned on. Turning on ToggleKeys also causes PC to create low-pitched sound each time any of these keys are turned off.

Sound Options

The Sound tab gives Use SoundSentry check box, which permits you to organize XP Professional to create visual warnings when PC generates a sound.

Display Options

Display tab of Accessibility Options dialog box gives Use High Contrast check box, which permits you to organize Windows XP Professional to utilize color and fonts intended for simple reading.

Mouse Options

the Mouse tab gives Use MouseKeys check box, which permits you to organize Windows to pointer with numeric keypad on keyboard.

General Tab

General Tab of Accessibility Options dialog box permits you to organize Automatic Reset. This aspect turns off all accessibility aspects, except SerialKeys devices, after PC has been idle for a particular amount of time. It also contains Notification aspect, which permits you to organize Windows to give a warning message when an aspect is activated and to generate a sound when turning a feature on or off. General tab also permits you to activate SerialKeys Devices aspect, which organizes Windows to support alternative input devices.

Administrative Options aspect gives two check boxes, Apply All Settings To Logon Desktop and Apply All Settings To Defaults For New Users, which permit you to organize XP Professional to apply all organized accessibility options to this user at logon and to apply all organized accessibility options to all new users.
