Windows 2000, XP and 2003 having useful utility named Computer Management. It is a console that permits you to do many Windows maintenance functions from one central place. To access Computer Management, right click on My Computer icon and choose Manage.

Event Viewer

permits you to view detailed logs concerning to information like application, security and system events. If you are having any problems you may be able to locate information or error codes here.

Shared Folders

Displays information about what folders you have shared on system with any open shared files or sessions.

Local Users and Groups

Shows the users that have access to PC. It also displays any security groups and what users are in those groups. You can add, modify and remove users from here.

Performance Logs and Alerts

Permits you to setup logs to monitor your systems performance. You can also setup aware so that you can be informed when a particular event happens.

Device Manager

displays what hardware devices you have on system. It also show if there are any errors or hardware clashes. You can update drivers and remove devices from this region.

Storage

allows you manage hard drives and detachable disks. You can also access Disk Defragmenter from here.

Services and Application

permits you to look system services, WMI Control and Indexing Service.
