Windows presents a range of methods to view files and folders on PC. Whether you like to notice details of files or if you want to notice big icons of files, there is a view that is right for you. Here are choices for looking files using Windows Explorer or My Computer.

To modify these views just click on Views toolbar button and choose desired view or go to View menu and choose it from there.

If you want one view apply to all files and folders there is a simple method to do so. The initial step is to put existing folder to desired view you applied to all folders. Then go to Tools menu and select Folder Options. Now you will get a window like this shown below.

Then tick on Apply to All Folders button to do modification. You can also modify other folder choices from here like to have Windows show file extensions and display hidden files and folders.

Status bar displays you details like how many objects are in a folder, how many you have chosen, size of chosen items, the size of all items, how much disk space you have accessible and date and time modified.

To activate this feature just go to View menu and check Status Bar.
