Default Remote Desktop - unable to connect

I have been trying to connect to my PC through windows xp remote desktop, but i am unable to if I don't log in directly from my pc. After i log in, i can connect remotely even if i log out from my pc. So it seems that windows does not load something that it should (a service or something like that). Any suggestions?

Default Remote Desktop - unable to connect

    Hello friends

Remote desktop-uable to connect I've been using VPN and Remote Desktop to connect to work for over a year. the last time I was able to successfully connect was a couple of weeks ago. Now I'm able to get the connection in VPN with no problem but when I start
Remote Desktop and connect I get the error "The specified remote computer cannot be found. Verify that you have typed the correct computer name or IP address and try again". I read a post that mention running Telnet tserv 3389 in the command prompt. I started VPN and then ran the command and get the message "could not open connection to the host: on port 3389. Connect failed". Is this a problem on my computer? Any ideas how this can be fixed

    Thanks to all friends ............
