Like many parts of the Windows Desktop the size of the Title bar can be changed, along with the font used and even the colour. Right-click on an empty part of the Desktop and then left-click on Properties. Left-click on the Appearance tab and then on Advanced. Click on the drop down menu and select Active Title Bar. The size and colour options should now appear. The Title bar size should be 25 and the Font set to 10. Either click in the box and type the correct size or click on the arrows to raise or lower the size.
Vista is slightly different. Right-click on the Desktop and select Personalize from the menu that appears. Click on the title 'Window color and appearance' and then on 'Open classic appearance properties for more color options'. This loads the same window that we used for Windows XP. Click on the Advanced button to change the options. Either click on a title bar within this window or select Active Title bar in the dropdown menu. The default size for the ritle bar is 19. If the font has been changed, the default font is SegoeUI at size 9.
