Thread: Cannot Network Windows 7 with Windows XP

I have installed Windows 7 Beta, as another PC has XP. When I attempt to access XP shared folders in windows 7, I can easily access it, but when I attempt to access windows 7 folders it shows that you do not have authorization or network path not found. So please help me to solve this problem.

Go to Start -> Run. Enter gpedit.msc, choose Windows Settings under PC Configuration, choose Security Settings, pick Local Policies, then Security Options, and go to network client: Send not encrypted password to SMB servers, set it to ENABLED. Now attempt accessing shared folders.

On which PC do I utilize this configuration on XP or windows 7 or on both? If I do it on windows 7 then what you do to see XP folders from windows 7.

Are you given authorization to folder to access by everybody? Right click on folder, properties, permissions, access, everyone.
