Thread: Different drives in XP with Different icons

I want to set Different drives in XP with every icon. It is possible? Any help would be highly appeicated

1) First save various icon files with ico extension. So, for setting icons you require to do following:

• Open 'notepad' and Save as 'autorun.inf'

• In autorun.inf file write below lines
[Autorun]
icon="<filename>.ico" and save this file.

• Copy your icon file where you save autorun.inf file.

• Rename icon file as 'myiconfilename.ico'

• Set hidden property for both files.

• Reboot your machine.

Do same process for different drive icons.

2) I think it is not possible to change the icons of different drives in XP. As windows XP give u the rights of changing the icons of the folder, I think there is no such type of the facility which will able to change the icons of the drives.
