Thread: Windows Installer Service can’t be accessed in printer installation

I have been unable to install the printer software for my HP Photosmart plus B209 printer. The installation breaks up to returns the following error message: "The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can happen if the Windows Installer is not properly installed."Is this a Windows 7 problem or an HP problem? I don't think Windows Installer is inaccurately installed because it works for all other software.

Yes, I am using the Windows 7 64-bit package.

1) Disable non-Windows security software (e.g.Maccafe) and try again.

After that I would be contact their technical email support. The installation should go easily; there is no issue.
