When you work in Windows Explorer, you have to sometimes first update the view using a command, so that all information is correctly displayed.

The Windows Explorer updates the display on its own at regular intervals. When you carry out actions very fast, the refresh does not sometimes follow suit and the display becomes confusing. With a registry tweak you can ensure that the contents of Windows Explorer are updated faster after a change.

Open 'Run' in the Start Menu and enter 'regedit' in the following dialog and click on 'OK'. In the editor, navigate to the key 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SYSTEM\Cu rrentCo ntrolSet\Control \ Update' and in the right part double click on the DWORD value 'Update Mode'. Change its 'Value' to '0' and confirm with 'OK'. Then close the registry and restart the computer.

Caution: Do not use this setting if the computer is a client in a Windows Domain. Because this setting disables the carry-over of the system guidelines to the client.
