Step 1

Go to Start. Click "Run" from Start menu. This shows dialog box in which you can type command or program name for system to run.

Step 2


Type "cmd.exe" into dialog box and push "Enter" key. This command tells OS to start executable file "cmd," which is MS DOS command line window in XP. The run dialog will vanish and command line window will show. From there you will enable to run MS DOS commands.
