If you starts PC and Windows opens as usual, but Start button won't appear then just shut down it and restarts again. If problem remains then Windows has an error.

Instructions

Step 1

Enter BIOS in first start-up. See PC right after turn it on for instructions; generally you just require clicking a single button.

Step 2

In BIOS look for "Boot Order” it may be in one of menus in BIOS; as all BIOS are dissimilar, you want to search for a moment.

Step 3

Follow instructions on screen to modify boot order to load CD/DVD ROM first. This is generally D drive, and you must move this to top of the list.

Step 4

Save and exit from BIOS.

Step 5

Put in Windows disc, and restart PC. It must boot instantly off Windows disc and into Windows Installer, but you want to push button. See PC screen for instructions.

Step 6

Click through first few windows; you want to accept Windows license agreement and so on. Keep going until reach option to "Repair Windows." Choose option to repair it.

Step 7

Follow instructions to fix Windows installation.

Step 8

When fix is finished, go back to BIOS, and restore boot order to way it was.

Step 9

Remove Windows disc, and restart PC last time.
