Default Copy & Save History in XP

Sometimes clearing history in web browsing program is important part of maintaining fast, proficient Internet access. Though, earlier than clearing browser's history, it can be useful to save browsing history into backup folder if you want to save link to particular website or maintain record of what users have accessed online. You can copy and save Internet browsing history in simple steps given below using Windows XP.

    Instructions

    Step 1

    Start Windows Explorer.

    Step 2

Make folder to save history. Choose target drive or device from Windows Explorer menu, click "File" and choose "New." Choose "Folder" and type name of folder.

    Step 3

Access browsing history by choosing "Local Disk (C/Documents and Settings/User Name/Local Settings/History" from Windows Explorer menu.

    Step 4

Choose items you would like to copy. Choose many items by pressing "Ctrl" key and clicking every item or choose all items by clicking "Edit" from menu bar and selecting "Select All."

    Step 5

Copy chosen items by pressing "Ctrl + C" together.

    Step 6

Click name of target folder on Windows Explorer menu and click in blank space on right side of Windows Explorer screen. Push "Ctrl" and "V" together to paste history items in target folder. PC automatically saves data after you paste it into new folder.
