PC games are continuously changing with minimum necessity for them to run, and it's frequently needed for PC gamers to upgrade their hardware to maintain with necessities. Video or graphics card is generally installed or upgraded parts of hardware on PC. Even after you have physically installed video card on PC, you still need to install it in XP.

Instructions


Step 1

Install video card physically into PC. Follow directions given by company, and then install it in Windows XP.

Step 2

Start PC and log in with user name and password.

Step 3


Wait for "Found New Hardware Wizard" to show on screen.

Step 4


Click "Cancel" on two "Found New Hardware Wizard" screens that show. This is needed because you want to download video card drivers independently.

Step 5

Go to video card manufacturer website.

Step 6


Click "Support & Drivers" on website. Give model number of video card and operating system (XP), and website will give you with proper video card driver. Save driver to Desktop.

Step 7

Double-click .exe video card driver installation program. Click "Next" on next two or three screens that show and video card will start installing.

Step 8

Restart PC after installation of video card finishes. Turn on PC; video card is now installed and screen's resolution is better.
