Windows saves all particular files of that user account in folder that can still be accessed after account is deleted, and all files must be available below any other user's account. You must be given option to maintain these when deleting user account.
Instructions
Step 1
Go to "Start" and click "My Computer."
Step 2
Choose "Tools," then "Folder Options," then click "View" tab. choose "Show hidden files and folders." Ensure "Hide protected operating system files" box is not checked. Press "OK" to save.
Step 3
Go to: C:\Documents and Settings\Deleted User ID, with user ID being your old account. Also, if you installed Windows other than "C," then you want to search under that drive in its place.
Step 4
Copy any files you desire to move and paste them to new user profile. There must be folders for all that was below "My Documents," including Internet bookmarks. Anything that was saved below regular hard drive and not below "My Documents" will not be affected by user account delete. You can still access those files under same place on hard drive.
