Policy Settings on Windows XP control which users on PC have access to particular programs and features. If group policy settings become badly muddled or damage, only option is to restore them to default settings.

Instructions

Step 1

Go to "Start" and click "Run".

Step 2

Type cmd and hit "Enter", opens DOS prompt.

Step 3

Type “secedit /configure /cfg %windir%\repair\secsetup.inf /db secsetup.sdb /verbose” in it and hit "Enter" to repair policy settings to factory settings.
