Hibernate mode is task of OS that permits PC to utilize much less power without completely shutting off. When this mode is not-working or buggy, only real solution is to do complete repair of OS. Instructions

Step 1

Put in Windows XP disk into PC and resurrect system.

Step 2

Press any key to boot from CD when prompted.

Step 3

Choose decision to do an installation by hit "Enter."

Step 4

Agree to licensing agreement by pressing "F8."

Step 5

Select hard drive having copy of Windows XP from list and push "R" to do repair installation. This auto repairs hibernate mode.
