Few versions of Windows operating software, like XP Professional, Vista non-Home versions and Windows 7 non-Home versions have utility known as Remote Desktop. This is accessible interface that permits to attach to home PC from any other PC set with Remote Desktop client. These allow making modifications to remote PC, including disabling firewall.

Instructions

Step 1

Get IP address of remote PC by visiting site. Write this number, as you want it to distantly stop firewall.

Step 2

Load Remote Desktop Client software and enter IP address you got during Step 1 as address of remote PC.

Step 3

Log in to PC with username and password.

Step 4

Go to "Start" and "Run," type "firewall.cpl" and hit "Enter."

Step 5

Click the box adjacent to "Off" option to disable firewall.
