Thread: Windows XP desktop not responding

I returned to my desktop icons were gone leaving only sky grass on the screen. Could not turn it off, Ctrl-Alt-Delete did nothing, when unplugged & replugged back in it just pops on and goes right off. Please help me to solve this problem.

At what point does it turn off? Do you get to the Windows Splash Screen or does it turn off on POST?

Your computer problem is sound like power supply.
