In Microsoft Windows supported operating systems, purposely Windows XP, installing and or updating drivers for CD/DVD drives is easy. The Windows Device Manager is put to begin for installing device driver updates for any device. Once inside Device Manager, you will observe your device management options are organized and easily accessible.
Introductions:
• Open Windows XP Device Manager. To do this, go "Start" then “Control Panel" then go to "Performance and Maintenance" then "System," then open "Hardware" and click "Device Manager."
• Click on right pointing rocket next to "DVD/CD-ROM drives." This will increase list, allowing viewing all installed DVD/CD drives in system.
• Right click on preferred DVD or CD drive and choose "Properties" from context menu, then click to open "Driver" tab.
• Click "Update Driver" button. The driver renew wizard will now open on display. Go after the onscreen prompts to choose driver file and install it to system.
