Thread: Right click not responding in Windows XP

HI. I am windows vista users. When I Right- Click on the any folder it says the there has been error and my computer hangs I need to close it , and some time I observe that the CPU usage goes up to 100% is it because of the right click is this some type of Bug . Please do help me out so that I can make the issue to be sorted.

Turn off the transition effects for menus and ToolTips.

To turn off the transition effects in Windows XP do the following:

• Click Start, and then click Control Panel.

• In Control Panel, double-click Display.

• In the Display Properties dialog box, click the Appearance tab.

• On the Appearance tab, click Effects.

• In the Effects dialog box, click to clear, and after that click OK 2 times.

You can also try to Click the folder or file that you want before you right-click it to display the shortcut menu.
