I think PC is infected by virus so scan your PC with updated antivirus application. After scanning completed reboot PC. This will solve your problem.

As regarding your problem there may be some hardware problem. So for this call to your service center and confirm which hardware is giving problem and then just replace it.

May be this problem happened by your OS as you have not appropriately installed OS. So re-install your windows XP. Also try other OS. This will solve your problem.

A couple of thoughts for you to try.

RAM installation must be done correctly!

As simple as it is to just stick it in your PC, there is a proper procedure to do it. Sometimes when the below procedure is not followed all sorts of glitches can be manifested.
I don't know if this will rectify you problem but give it a shot.
    1. Shut the PC down.
    2. Remove all RAM from the PC.
    3. If it's a laptop remove the battey.
    4. Unplug the power cord from the wall socket, etc.
    5. Hold the power or on/off switch down for approx. 10 seconds. This will discharge all the components on the motherboard.
    6. Install your 512Mb stick in the PC
    7. Install the battery.
    8. Attach the power cord.
    9. Boot the PC up. If it boots up properly you're all set
