Thread: Search functions not work

Windows XP installed in my system. I am having a problem, from last 2-3 days my search function not working properly. I think my system infected by virus or malware. I am not getting any solution for my problem and need some help for solving that problem. Thanks in advanced

Try this:

•Go to Start>> Run. Type
regsvr32 /i %systemroot%\srchasst\srchui.dll >> clickOK

•or type:regsvr32 jscript.dll >>Click OK

Use the steps which are listed below:

• Logon as Administrator.

• Then Go to Start>> Run. Type in: %systemroot%\inf >> Click OK.

• Place the Srchasst.inf file by going to

• Start>> Control Panel>> C:/>> Windows>> INF Folder>> srchasst file.

• Right-click the Srchasst.inf files>> click install.
