    Default Renovate NTOSKRNL.exe

    I am having the desktop machine which has the Windows XP OS. I think my NTOSKRNL.exe Missing or Corrupt. I don’t to know what happen exactly. Can anybody tell me what steps I should follow to restore NTOSKRNL file in my system.

    Try this:

    1. Boot the computer using Microsoft Windows XP CD.

    2. Then press the R key to enter the recovery console.

    3. Choose the operating system you want to fix, and after that enter the administrator password.

    4. Type expand d:\i386\ntoskrnl.ex_ c:\windows\system32

    5. You will then be prompted if you choose to overwrite the file type Y and hit enter to overwrite the file.

    6. Type exit to restart the PC.
