Thread: Repair the registry in Windows XP

I am having the desktop computer system which has the Windows XP operating system. I want to restore the registry in windows XP. Can anybody tell me what steps I should follow to restore the registry in Windows XP?

Follow the steps:

• Click on Start, >> RUN, in run box type %SystemRoot%\System32\Restore\Rstrui.exe and after that click OK.

• One screen appears. On Welcome to system restore page, Click Restore my computer to an earlier time, then click next.

• Next Select a Restore Point page, click on system checkpoint.

• On Confirm Restore Point Selection page, click next.

• When your System Restore Confirmation page appears, Log on to the computer and after that click on OK. •
