    How do I uninstall sp2 in windows xp?

    Back up important PC files and generate a System Restore save point.

    Press "Start" and choose "Control Panel" from the menu. Double-click "Add or Remove Programs." Press the box next to "Show Updates."

    Press on "Windows XP Service Pack 2" in the list of programs. Press "Remove" and follow the guided directions to uninstall SP2.
