Navigate to the Systems Tools folder establishes under Accessories on the Start menu. Double-click on the "Activate Windows" icon to start the procedure. When prompted, choose "Yes, I want to telephone a customer service representative to activate Windows." Hit "Next" to continue. When prompted, choose "Change Product Key" to enter the new product key. Press "Update" to continue. Finally, press "Telephone" and go behind the rest of the on-monitor instruction. This process works for OEM or retail versions of Windows XP Home and Professional only.
