I want to eliminate shutdown from Windows XP?
Press on the "Start" button on the bottom left side of your monitor, then press on "Run" to unlock the "Run" dialog box. In the text box, type "gpedit.msc" then hit the "Enter" key or hit "OK." The "Group Policies" dialog box is displayed on your monitor. On the left side panel, press on "User Configuration," then "Administrative Templates," then "Start Menu & Taskbar." A list of settings emerges in the right side panel.
Scroll through the list to find "Remove and Prevent Access to Shut down Command" and double-click on it. The "Remove and Prevent Access to Shut down Command" dialog box is presents on the monitor. Choose "Enable" to eliminate the shutdown option, and then hit "OK" to save your settings. The shutdown option is now unavailable.
