Thread: Unable to delete file in XP

I have a desktop machine and it is been installed with Windows XP. In my my there are some unnecessary file is there I want to remove that file from the system but when I go to delete any file it shows error as cannot delete (Filename): Access is denied. Kindly provide me the correct logical solution to resolve the above issue. Thanks in advanced.

Boot your system and login as administrator and from the administrator account try to access it and then delete it.
