Default Sharing W7 with XP crosswise LAN

I have several folders and I want to share them. First folder has content that I can’t want to be changed by user. Second folder on which changes and file uploading allowed, but I do not want to open this folder on other desktop computer without Password. What I need to do in this situation please help me out from this issue.

Password and User Name asks you, may be of system on which that folder placed or saved. So, ask user of that machine about User name and Password on which LAN that machine attached. This will solve your problem.

I have tried the given steps but it didn’t solve my problem. Please try to provide some other solution.
