    Default Windows XP end 8086

I am having a Dual Core Processor Machine with Windows XP in it. I am receiving Windows Stop 8086 after doing a critical XP update. I think this is happening because of corrupted files. Therefore I have reinstalled it on my computer but I am receiving the same result after doing the update. As much as I know KB886903, a security patch for .NET w/SP1. Please help me to get rid of this problem. Thanks in Advance.

Try to change the BIOS setting for onboard SATA/IDE from AHCI to IDE; I am confident that this will fix your issue.
