Thread: XP 32 bit memory approval

This is a new build and the mb instruction manual states when installing total memory of 4GB capacity or more, Windows 32-bit operation system only recognize less than 3GB. Thus, a total installed memory of less than 3GB is optional. This person is using windows xp pro; same as I'm using and it's recognize 3.25GB of ram. I'm wondering what peoples' experience has been concerning this issue.

That model helps DDR2 memory to begin with. You may have to manually enter the dram timings in order to see the 800 MHz speed indicated on the bios post screen however though the rest can be left on auto.
