Thread: C not running in XP

I am using Windows XP sp2 operating system with 2 GB RAM and Core2Duo processor, it is supporting to run any kind of applications in my system, apart from the "C" language. i.e., when I run C program is, it is forcibly making windows to shutdown the next moment. I am not able to understand why this is happening. Kindly help me with all possible solutions to get rid of this situation.
