    Default Windows XP Issues

I am windows XP user. We just had an electrical squall come through and after start the computer; we found that one of them was having some issues. It won't connect to our network anymore and it stopped using the default windows XP theme for the start menu and windows. If you are having any solution for that, then please provide that solution to me. I will be thankful to you.

Try to doing a system restore first to see if that will solve the problems. If not, you should start troubleshooting hardware like the network card, hard drive.

I think it is better option. It's a dual boot machine, and my other OS is running internet well, so it's not the hardware. Please explain what you mean by troubleshooting the hard drive?
