Default Dual Boot system of Windows 7 and windows XP

I have two PC one has Windows 7 and the other computer has windows XP. I have set the windows XP Pro Hard drive in the Windows 7 system. Can someone tell me how to dual boot with this configuration? Should I reinstall Windows7 again? I can utilize the windows XP Mode but choose to have the two individual drives and do not want to have to re-install my games on the windows XP hard drive again.

I think you simply have to change the Windows 7 boot loader to admit an entry for the windows XP drive and point to it. See if it works you.

I will attempt that. My relate was that both operating system were on the C drive, while they are on various hard drives, not a partition.

I think while you're work on windows XP, the C drive on the Windows 7 drive will show up as D/E etc. and vice versa. Are the computers identical? Running windows XP on a second computer will want new drivers, so formerly you put the drive in the second computer; it won’t work with the initial computer any more later driver updates.

When I first acquired this computer I was running a dual boot system of Windows 7 and windows XP on two individual HD drives. I like to look into with dissimilar configurations and that was back in the days while Windows 7 was still in RC. I installed various times both operating systems and I recognized in my disappointment that in order to have a proper dual boot system Windows XP should be installed first and it will be the boot disk.

You just install windows xp and windows 7 in another drive then copy all the files of other hard drive.
