Default Error message when UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME laptop with XP

Hey people, I hope I can count on you as always:

    problem:

Laptop acer does not start anymore, operating system is xp, service can pack not say, is a laptop of a friend, according to him, the laptop stopped during the operation, was nothing more, and then restart the came in the normal mode briefly xp sign and then a blue screen (very briefly), error message I once received with nervous cam so I can read. in any case, what is there to UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME.
a start in Safe mode does not work, even blue screen again, as funzt not the last known working version option, which starts normally and then breaks off and Lapland simply reboots and problem persists 've ever tried one (not the dude from the cd) cd insert of xp and recovery console display. It went, but I could

    1. Not to c: \ access to you, the error was the listing of the directory (takes very long)

    2. Chkdsk says the disk is apparently in good condition

    3. Chkdsk / p but what is not written at least one problem resolves

    4. The same even after input r chkdsk /

've read somewhere that with the command fixmbr NEN can write new mbr and the box returns to normal boots. Habs tested, but without success.
Dude said it is also not much space on the disk. Had therefore tried first with the start erd commander and then multiply by the board to check, but that is not even recognized among them.

Have you tried using ever fix boot fixmbr instead?

Otherwise the problem may indicate a faulty IDE cable. Or your buddies before the error occurred something has changed in the BIOS? If so, do a reset before.

Have you tried fix boot (FAT file system), but now comes a message that the NTLDR is missing, according to the friend changed nothing in the bios ntldr cannot copy from cd to c: \ windows, I cannot even access the directory. What struck me when I try to install via xp setup xp tells me the new setup, which of the 38 154 bsp. of available storage space or 38 154 free? May indeed not be, if xp is installed, right?

I was now again in the setup it shows me only 6 MB of free space. So there cannot always agree what.

Using the command C: \ dir I will not even see the windows directory, although the plate is detected during boot.

Good. Then again now fixmbr. If that does not help, you put the XP CD and copy one you like the ntldr and not detect:

    copy d: \ i386 \ ntldr c: \

    and

    copy d: \ i386 \ ntdetect.com c: \

where you d: replaced with the appropriate drive letter.

I've made grad, fixmbr etc. have the ntldr and ntdetect.com copied to C: \ windows, but then after the input from you only for c: display \ windows, the two files. Missing so yes everything has to do with XP, although displayed in the setup again only 6 mb free!
