    Default Reformat and using XP?

Hi all, Vista has been troubling me. I have a copy of XP Pro that I bought long back when I was in school for . I guess I'm going to install it. I recall reading few years back that MS would cease support for XP. But I'm not confirming what they mean by it. Any suggestion?

If you are planning to play games then it is defiantly a bad idea.

Does it state that they will stop proclaiming security patches for it. XP SP3 is presently on "extended" support, stating important issues will get spotted for a few more years. But don't consider newer versions of IE, DirectX or .NET to access on it.
