    Default Cpu frequency problem in Windows XP

    Hello guys, I have installed windows XP and observed that the CPU frequency has gone down to 1.4G and i feel it is very less. Following are my specs:
    CPU: P4 2.8G C
    Main Board: Intel D845PEBT2
    DIMM: 1GB
    OS: Win XP SP2
