If you are not capable to play any file from second time in windows media player then I guess you should test to insert any audio cd and rip that audio cd In your laptop. Once it is preserved in your laptop after ripping is finish then plays those files in your windows media player. If this files operate right in your media player then there is something fault with your other files test to performing that you will not tackle any trouble.

If you are tackling this trouble regularly then I guess first you should remove the windows media player and then restart the laptop. After performing that erase all the tamp files from your laptop and again restart the laptop. After performing that set up the windows media player again in your laptop. Now test to play those files in your media player again. I guess later on performing that you will not tackle any matter with it. Try this answer and let me recognize what the result is?

I have going via your post and later on reading your total trouble I suggest you to first set up the fresh windows media player from Microsoft official link. After downloading that remove the former edition of windows media player from your laptop. Now set up the windows media tackle any trouble with your windows media player. You can also test to plat your music files and video files in other player which are present on net.
