Default Skype 5.3 is breaking apart with Windows XP SP3.

Hey guys I am using Windows XP SP3 on my computer. I had installed Skype 5.3 in it. The problem is that Skype crashes at start up. I tried to gain support from Skype, but not of any use. I also did a lot of research on Google but dint find any solution until now. I was not addressing this problem when I was using the version of Skype, I'm experiencing only since I had upgraded to the latest version of Skype. I don't know why I am experiencing this problem. Has anyone else come up with the same problem?

I'm in front of the same problem. I'm also using the same version of Skype 5.3, but instead I am using SP2, Service Pack 3 (SP3). I got the problem fixed. I wasn't, I have to uninstall Skype, and then install the latest version, but I found the issue of the failure. In such a way that I'm not, I'll delete all the files in the cache and then Skype quitted Skype application. And then rebooted my system, and then began using Skype and create a new cache file, and running Skype without problems.

When I was confronted with the issue, I fear that it could be cause of some virus or a bug in the system. So I tried to do a complete analysis of the system, but I can't find any virus or a worm. I informed about it to my friend, he said that once he had the same question so he deleted shared.XML file in the folder of Skype. Well, I tried to delete the shared.XML file, and then the question seems to be solved for me.

New version of Skype was issued to fix any corrupted to Windows update. It seems to me that small percentage of corruption has occurred in the user's computer. This was due to that, some users were not able to log in to Skype. Make sure that none of the existing applications of Skype is running. Then close the Skype application, and then restart the system to start the download. And for Windows users using Skype to get updated to the latest version of Skype.

If you don't have windows XP Sp3, then, to upgrade. Before you upgrade your Skype make sure that you have completely uninstalled Skype application. After uninstalling using C Cleaner to remove all entries in the application log. I found that Skype 5.2.60.113 works better with XP. Be sure to download the correct version of the version of Skype that bear better operating system. I hope this resolves your problem.
