Thread: Digital Video Disc drives not operating after Reformatting Windows xp

I just reformatted my pc which was functioning Windows XP home. Later this I am receiving trouble with my DVD drives. Recently there are two DVD drives. The matters is the drives are just not capable to play DVDs but it can play CDs. My system is on WMP differently VLC, throughout again CDs function OK on both what could be the trouble?

Most of the cases that operates this consequences lie in the true that those who have a pc begins to install dozens of software that is utilized to using. May be not recognizings that by set up their favorite CD burning software, having already transferred to another, make a querie that Windows no longer realize the goodness of its drivers and study it as being in battle.

Click Start, function and type: devmgmt.msc, double click on the "Controller IDE ATA / ATAPI", remove the line "Secondary IDE Channel" and then restart your Computer (not from me but pascacal 132! ) and it has already created good solution !!!!!

It is fact that XP CD-RW/DVD player mechanically finds and has set up the furnisheds drivers. As you show, I have surelys Nero burning software set up and shall be to realize the player. I can choose the burner, but in any fire, nothing occures. It will then give me a CD or another medium in the CD-RW/DVD player to pause. My current 52 valocity cdrom player and my 24- valocity writer as master and slave are on one IDE slot and my hard drive and the trouble CD-RW/DVD player as master and slave on a classify IDE link.

When I utilize the DVD drive substitutes and all functions and then when I log out the Computer again and later 1-2 days of the DVD drive no longer functions correctly. The CD functions, but I receive the messages of the CD is no longer shows in Explorer.

First of all set up drivers, and then restart Windows XP. The system would then automatically make a novel hardware realize and form / driver will load itself down. Individual who are not saved the driver on the system have to trusts on the producer supplied CD back!
