I repeat that please checks the drive is connected properly or not: Please make sure your unit is connected correctly or not: If not properly connected, then turn off your PC and remove the disk and connect it correctly and start the PC and the search for new hardware or a PC will automatically detect it and if found, click the next option after that, click the OK and insert the CD into the drive. If the CD starts playing means that your problem is solved.

I would prefer that first of all check the cable unit is operating correctly or not, if you can not turn off your PC to disconnect the cable that is connected to the PC and unplug the cable from both sides and connect securely on both sides Then again, the computer still continues to have problems to remove the cable and buy a new cable and plug in the drive and the PC properly and make sure that the disk drive, or does not work.

Hey, I suggest you check the unit works or not: check the disk is working or not. if not, then turn off the computer and unplug the drive and reconnect it to connect to your computer, check that it is detected or not. If you do not control the power going to the unit or not. if it occurs to make sure the connection is made correctly, or if the problem still does not replace the disk drive / buy a new hard drive.
